Transfer369 Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This page covers how Transfer369 — the Mac app and its Android companion — handles your data. The “Buying, licensing & updates” section below applies to all Studio369 apps.

Your files stay on your devices

File transfers happen directly between your own devices over your local network, encrypted end to end. Your files, their names, and their contents never pass through our servers — we have no servers in the transfer path. We never see what you transfer.

Android companion app

The Android companion app is free and collects nothing itself; it only transfers files locally to your Mac. If you install it from Google Play, Google applies its own standard install metrics under Google's policies, which we don't control. A direct APK is offered for users who prefer to avoid Google Play.

Buying, licensing & updates

The following applies to all Studio369 apps and to studio369.xyz.

Our commitment

Studio369 builds privacy-first software. Our apps run locally on your own devices and never send your files through our servers. To sell and license the software we collect the minimum necessary — essentially your email and a small license record — and nothing for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

What we collect when you buy direct

If you purchase a license on studio369.xyz, we collect only what we need to sell you the software and deliver your license:

  • Your email address — to send you the license file (a single-use download link) and to provide support if you ask.
  • An order record — an order reference, which app you bought, the amount, payment status, and timestamps.
  • Payment — purchases are paid in USDC on the Solana blockchain. The payment transaction (wallet and amount) is recorded on Solana's public ledger; that's inherent to a blockchain payment and outside our control. We never receive or store card numbers or bank details.

Your license file

The license we issue contains a license id, a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email (not the email itself), the purchase date, and the edition. It is signed so the app can verify it offline.

License checks & updates (direct Mac app)

The version of a Mac app bought directly from studio369.xyz checks for updates through us. When it does, it sends three things to studio369.xyz:

  • your license file (the data described above);
  • a one-way HMAC of your Mac's hardware id — a keyed hash, not the hardware id itself; we store only the hash and cannot recover the original;
  • the app version.

We use this to confirm the license is valid, serve you the updates you're entitled to, and detect license sharing by counting how many distinct machines use one license over a rolling window. These records are kept in an append-only log. We do not build a profile, track your activity, or share any of it.

Mac App Store version

If you instead buy an app from the Mac App Store, none of the above license check applies — that build never contacts our servers. Apple processes the purchase and provides us only standard, aggregate sales reports. Your hardware id and license are never sent to us.

Who we share with

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising or marketing. We rely on a small number of service providers strictly to operate the store and deliver licenses:

  • Proton Mail — sends your license email and receipts (sender: licenses@studio369.xyz).
  • Solana blockchain — the public payment ledger, as described above.
  • Microsoft Azure — hosts the storefront and stores order and license records.

Retention

Order, license, and license-check records are kept for as long as needed to honor and validate your license and to support you, in an append-only log. You can ask us to delete your data, subject to records we must keep to continue honoring a valid license.
